Job Summary and Key Responsibilities In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and supporting the pharmacy team in various tasks. Your key responsibilities will include: Modeling and conveying a positive and excellent client experience, ensuring that customers receive courteous, fair, and professional service. Registering sales on assigned sales register, processing customer transactions, and handling customer inquiries and issues in a timely and efficient manner. Assisting the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy, including using pharmacy systems to acquire patient and medication information and process prescriptions. Engaging with customers and patients, offering help with products and services, and resolving customer complaints and issues to ensure a positive customer experience. Maintaining a clean and well-organized store environment, including counters, shelves, and inventory, and performing tasks such as stocking, facing, and rotating merchandise. Performing administrative tasks, such as processing manual claims, handling phone calls, and maintaining records, as assigned by the Pharmacy Director or Store Manager. Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: A Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as pharmacy, healthcare, or business. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with customers, patients, and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to resolve customer complaints and issues in a timely and efficient manner. Basic math skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing, with the ability to accurately process transactions and fill prescriptions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends, and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines. Proficiency in English, with the ability to read, write, and communicate effectively. Preferred Qualifications and Skills While not required, the following preferred qualifications and skills will be considered an asset: At least six months of experience in a retail environment, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting. Previous experience working with Walgreens or a similar retail pharmacy chain. Good numerical skills, including counting, measuring, and weighing, with the ability to accurately fill prescriptions and process transactions. Good computer skills, including proficiency in pharmacy systems and software applications. Knowledge of store inventory control and management principles. PTCB certification or willingness to obtain certification through the designated PTCB training program.
