Any remote work is expected to be performed from an employee’s primary residence, unless allowed (or prohibited) through the Company’s remote work guidelines. Emergency Response: Yes – Must be available to perform a primary assignment in support of DTE’s emergency response to storms or other events that impact service to our customers.Job Summary Plans, implements and monitors marketing programs, projects, services, communications campaigns and product lines focused on generating revenue and increasing customer satisfaction levels. Simultaneously manages multiple complex projects & initiatives. Ensures the integration and alignment of programs, business targets, performance gap(s) and budget analyses. Develops cross-functional relationships between the department and various process and support organizations. Assignments are received in the form of broad goals and/or areas of responsibility. Incumbent has broad latitude (within the defined scope of responsibility) for independent action in setting objectives and deciding how to proceed, consistent with Corporate goals and objectives. Projects and activities are primarily, if not entirely, carried out through the use of outside vendors/contractors; there is extensive program/project development and management, but no direct supervision or management of Corporate employees. Span of control: 0; this is an individual contributor job.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the integration and alignment of various arketing and customer outreach programs, business targets, performance gap and budget analyses; all activities guided by the corporate and divisional objectives.
  • Ensures adherence to program, services or product launch plans, components and timeframe.
  • Develops relationships with external contractors and various process and support organizations; negotiates with external contractors on proposals, contracts, etc.
  • Represents the Corporation with vendors at industry associations.
  • Designs, develops and implements marketing programs and/or pricing strategies to support a particular product, service or market sector.
  • Takes responsibility for launching and positioning of products/services in a market sector via specific marketing strategies; works with Corporate Communications to determine media (e.g., internet, press, television, radio).
  • Works closely with technical teams to develop marketing strategies and programs.
  • Coordinates activities with Corporate Communications in the design, development and implemen-tation of marketing programs to advertise the corporation's products or services. May involve media such as magazines, TV, radio, Internet, press or direct mail; the use of sponsorship, events and sales promotions, and; budget tracking and measurement of the effectiveness of the programs.
  • Performs analyses and prepares forecasts and recommendations in the areas of product prefer-ences, sales coverage, market penetration, market practices and sales trends.
  • Markets the organization's products and services using customer marketing databases.
  • Promotes and maintains the brand image at local and regional levels.
  • Coordinates the marketing strategies including packaging, pricing, expense budgets, advertising and promotion of the brand
  • Develops and coordinates advertising campaigns with Corporate Communications for the brand. This job may require FERC Gas training

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of experience in marketing, program/project and/or energy management
  • Communicates effectively verbally and in writing with individuals at all levels, inside and outside the corporation.
  • Consulting and influencing skills consistent with the ability to build relationships and influence parties; may include getting parties to embrace changing expectations and initiatives.
  • Analytical and problemsolving skills consistent with the ability to identify key issues from a broad range of alternatives, and recommend optimal solutions for various situations.
  • Ability to develop and coordinate crossfunctional work groups and projects yielding optimal outcomes.
  • Working knowledge of financial and economic analysis, project and risk management.
  • Thorough knowledge of regulatory commission orders, authority, responsibility and practices.
  • Ability to apply project planning, implementation and continuous improvement principles to affect tangible, positive outcomes.
  • Competent in multi-tasking, i.e the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, issues, or projects that may include high-visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork and planning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft products (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and project management software) sufficient to apply and support them with minimal instruction or guidance; this level of proficiency is typically attainable through 3+ years of substantive experience with the applications.
  • Promote an atmosphere conducive to the open exchange of new ideas, and alternatives approaches; initiates new ideas and approaches; challenges prevailing practices and approaches with reasonably sound alternatives.
  • Deal effectively with resistance; taking positive steps to avoid the recurrence of errors through constructive critique.
